A 16" globe lampshade with geometric design of darts in the vibrant browns, reds, and golds of fall. Use of the H. L. Worden design grid and full-form mold aids in the construction. The project was constructed using the copper foil technique.
Thoroughbred
Design by Leslie Gibbs
A 24-1/8" x 12-1/8" semicircular rocking horse panel on a background reminiscent of a child's quilt. The golden shades of the horse are brought out by the light green, light blue, pink, and white of the background. This project was constructed using the copper foil technique.
Pandora's Box
Design by Rob Torres
A 10" x 6" x 5" beginner glass box with brass accents done in Green/Gold-Pink Fractures that takes on the appearance of leaves and flowers caught in time in translucent glass. A butterfly rests on the box top, providing an accent handle for opening. This project is constructed using brass U-cap, wide banding, and H-channel.
Funky Purse!
Design by Jane Pompilio
A 6" x 2" x 12" three-dimensional art deco purse done in brilliant shades of yellow and turquoise-green. This project makes a fabulous room accent or can also be used as a jewelry holder for necklaces and other large pieces. This project was constructed using the copper foil technique.
The Moon and the Star

A 9" x 9" free-form crescent moon suncatcher with dangling star. The moon is done in a glass mix combining yellow, green, and blue and features curlicue lines that bring out his austere expression. The star shimmers in blue beside the moon. This project was constructed using the copper foil technique.
Lamppost

A 6" x 14" free-form lamppost on wooden stand with attached floral holder. This project features one of the Tubie Rooter designs, which incorporate test tubes for holding plant cuttings or the addition of other floral accents. This project was constructed using the copper foil technique.
Paper Patterns Come to Life with Glass Eye 2000

Tips for using Glass Eye 2000 from Dragonfly Software, a glass designing software program that includes 1,800 glass images from the major manufacturers. It allows glass enthusiasts to resize and recolor existing patterns or create their own new designs. Program features are reviewed, including AutoTrace and LampWizard, as well as the ability to see measurements in fractions of inches rather than decimal amounts. A pattern for Lisa Vogt's “Heart of America” that is featured in the program demonstrations is included in this issue.
