Family Outing
by Mark Waterbury
A 12" x 24" panel of mama Canada goose and her goslings gliding across the water, which is done in shades of semitranslucent and wispy blue. Cliffs and greenery beacon from the distant shore beneath a blue sky. A fused glass piece brings a sparkle to mama's watchful eye. This project is constructed using the copper foil technique. Additional Keywords: rectangular, birds.
Like a Moth to a Flame
by Leslie Gibbs
A 9" x 10" suncatcher showing a fairy hovering over a candle flame. The white candle, glowing flame, pewter-colored candlestick, and nymph body stand out against the background of blue cathedral glass. The fairy's wings and part of her body break free from the oval outline of the piece. This project is constructed using the copper foil technique.
Owlet
by Glassmith Studios
An 11˝" x 11" free-form panel displaying a solemn owl made using a bevel cluster from GST. His steely black nugget eyes are set off against dark amber cathedral glass. The bevels help to give the owl shape and lend to his realism. The owl is shown amid the green leaves, but he can also stand alone or be incorporated into a panel. This project is constructed using the copper foil technique. Additional keywords: bird.
April Showers
by Karen Stephenson
An 11" x 13" free-form panel featuring a bird perched atop a watering can filled with jaunty yellow daffodils and their green stems and leaves. The bird, fashioned from dark amber opal glass, seems poised ready to give a concert. The bright colors stand out nicely against the gray of the watering can, which is detailed with a tulip emblem on its side created from sheet foil. The outer edge of the project is reinforced with 20-guage wire to give it a finished look. This project is constructed using the copper foil technique. Additional Keywords: still life, floral, spring flowers.
Moonlight Dreams
by Leslie Gibbs
An 18" x 24" panel depicting a brilliant white peacock against a vivid sunset. White ripple glass is used for the peacock to add depth, detail, and realism to the bird. A green vine with pastel blue flowers grows along the side of the panel, adding interest to the setting and echoing the light color of the peacock. Sheet foil overlay is also used to enhance the scene. This project is constructed using the copper foil technique. Additional Keywords: rectangular.
Etched and Painted Wedding Glasses
by Darlene Johnson and Judy Lee
A set of fluted champagne goblets decorated with etching, lusters, and gold. These goblets are made using purchased matching glasses, then acid etching designs, applying lusters and gold for trim, and firing. White dots are applied for added detail using an opaque white glass paint. Additional Keywords: gift.
Fused Plate
by Mark Waterbury
A 10" round white fused Wasser glass plate with blue geometric pattern. The design pieces are cut from blue Wasser glass and glued to the white plate, which is then fused and slumped using a kiln mold. This project requires multiple firings for completion. Additional Keywords: dish, kiln-fired.

This project can also make a delightful suncatcher and is constructed using the copper foil technique. Additional Keywords: insect.
